The California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC) is a nonprofit public-benefit organization that provides voluntary certification for massage professionals who meet California Massage Therapy Act requirements and reviews massage education programs against training and curriculum standards. Its official site provides applications, recertification, certificate verification, complaints, school approval, fees, statutes, and local-government resources. CAMTC certification is not a statewide practice license, and some cities or counties may impose separate requirements, so applicants and employers should check both CAMTC and local rules.
